The Japanese public has vented its anger at the kickback scandal roiling the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). Kishida, in a bid to save his premiership, took the bold step of dissolving three factions. But, despite the bashing it’s getting, don’t expect factionalism to go anywhere. In one form or another, it will live on.
